Chancov grew up in a small town in Ohio, and like many others that came before her, had a dream of moving to a place where a girl could experience new ideas, new people and most of all–freedom. Freedom to find herself, freedom to be whoever she wanted. At 17 years old the girl got her chance and took off on an airplane headed west.
Now, 10 years later and California and Hawaii behind her (but still very much a part of her), she’s back in Ohio. Ugh–terrible right? LOL.
At some point along her journey, she realized that her freedom is not supplied by a place or its people. It is not something that can be earned and kept like an award framed on a wall, but that it is a continuous struggle of search and discovery. She learned that her freedom comes from staying true to what calls her.
